Minamichita Town

Minamichita Town is located in the southern part of the Chita Peninsula of Aichi Prefecture and includes the end of the peninsula as well as Shinojima Island and Himakajima Island, of which the total space is 38.24 square-kilometers. The northern part of the town is connected with Mihama Town, and other sides are surrounded by the Mikawa Bay in the east and by the Ise Bay in the southwest side. The town is designated as the Mikawa Bay Quasi-National Park and (the Minamichita Prefectural Nature Park) and has many sightseeing spots, historical sites, cultural properties and festivals. Minamichita Town has been developed as a base for recreational activities making use of nature and is now aiming to establish a wide area tourism route as a hometown of history and poems improving conditions for all seasons tourism
